Position Overview
We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our expanding team at sunRISE group inc. In this role, you will be pivotal in supporting our data-driven initiatives and ensuring high-quality data solutions that drive key business decisions. You’ll work alongside Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and other internal partners to develop, maintain, and enhance data infrastructure and analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and internal teams to identify opportunities and address data-related challenges.
- Design, develop, and maintain metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to support business decision-making.
- Lead architectural planning and implementation for data storage, reporting, and analytical solutions.
- Troubleshoot, research, and resolve defects in data systems as they arise.
- Design and manage data schemas and operate internal data warehouses and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Implement and automate the deployment of distributed systems for processing and collecting log events from various sources.
- Monitor and troubleshoot operational or data issues in data pipelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience in data engineering.
- Strong skills in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Proficiency with query languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, or SparkSQL.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or KornShell.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with big data technologies including Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or EMR.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as AWS QuickSight or Tableau.
