Summary of Responsibilities

As a Principal Applied Machine Learning Engineer with sunRISE group inc., you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing advanced machine learning solutions tailored to enhance cybersecurity measures. Your role will involve:

• Leading the design and execution of high-quality machine learning models and production code to strengthen our security systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and researchers, to transform innovative research into practical, impactful security solutions.
• Overseeing the integration of machine learning technologies into our existing frameworks to address emerging cybersecurity threats and challenges.
• Driving the development of robust, scalable systems that support our mission of securing digital environments.

Your expertise will be critical in shaping our approach to cybersecurity, guiding the implementation of new technologies, and ensuring that our solutions meet the highest standards of performance and security.

Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field AND 6+ years of relevant experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
  OR
• Master’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field AND 4+ years of relevant experience
  OR
• Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field AND 3+ years of relevant experience
  OR
• Equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in programming languages such as C# or Python.
• Strong technical skills in problem-solving, architecture design, and writing high-quality production code.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, researchers, engineers, and stakeholders, with excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to translate research into production services.
• Ability to meet sunRISE group inc., customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the sunRISE group inc. Cloud background check.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field AND 9+ years of relevant experience
  OR
• Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field AND 6+ years of relevant experience
  OR
• Equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience creating publications such as patents, libraries, or peer-reviewed academic papers.
• 5+ years of experience conducting research as part of a research program (academic or industry settings).
• 3+ years of experience developing and deploying live production systems as part of a product team.
• 3+ years of experience developing and deploying products or systems at multiple points in the product cycle, from ideation to shipping.
• 2+ years of experience presenting at conferences or other industry events as an invited speaker.
• Prior experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) product development preferred.
• Prior experience with Large Language Models (LLM) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) preferred.
• Technical expertise in large-scale machine learning models, deep learning, transformer models, data engineering, cloud technologies, and information fusion.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and handle ambiguity.
• Independent, self-motivated, with a strong understanding of statistics, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization.
• Knowledge of cross-team and cross-organizational collaboration.
